There are around 242,000 men and women from other EU countries living in Berlin. Only few of them know that they can also vote in the European elections abroad. EU Citizens can either vote in their country of origin or in the country of their permanent residence.
That means if you are an EU citizen living in Berlin, to be able to vote you must be registered in the electoral roll. To do so, fill out this form (in German) and sent it (by mail) to your district’s electoral office by May 5th, 2019. The electoral office in Mitte is:
Bezirksamt Mitte von Berlin
– Bezirkswahlamt –
Afterwards, you will receive a polling card which allows you to cast a vote in advance (by postal vote) or on election day on May 26th, 2019.
